Underwater Treadmill Helps Pooches Stay Fit, Healthy
KCAU came to visit Four Paws yesterday to check out our new underwater treadmill, and to meet one of our clients, and our newest success story, Bo!
Bo is a 3-year-old Keeshond who woke up the morning of a show with a dislocated rib and neck. After visiting the local vet, who couldn’t do much for him, he came to see us. After 20 minutes in our underwater treadmill, he was practically good as new again!
Show dogs like Bo are just one type of dog that can benefit from our aqua therapy services. Injured dogs, overweight dogs, post-surgery dogs, and geriatric dogs are just a few examples of the types of dogs we can help.
Exercising in our underwater treadmill allows dogs to workout, even if they are injured or in pain. The water provides buoyancy that is easy on their joints, but also supplies a resistance that helps them work their muscles more than on a land treadmill.
Feel free to contact us with questions about our services, our new underwater treadmill, or to set up an appointment.
